We are proud to be part of LCF Clubs, which began in 1985 as Le Club Français in Hampshire. Over nearly 40 years, LCF has grown from a local favourite into a world-popular education hub, with over 5,000 centers operating across the UK and internationally. Parents and children alike love our method because it focuses on high-quality resources and, most importantly, making language learning fun.

At LCF Southampton, we focus specifically on children aged 3 to 11. 

Why? Because science tells us this is the ''golden window'' for language acquisition. 

Neuroscience indicates that until around the age of 7, children's brains are uniquely wired for ''natural absorption and studies show that children who start before this age are significantly more likely to achieve near-native pronunciation and grasp complex grammar intuitively. Also, the auditory cortex is most flexible before age 11, allowing kids to hear and mimic the subtle ''French R'' and vowels that adults often struggle with.

Our lessons are designed so that children learn unconsciously, and our method includes:

Immersive play: we use storytelling, drama, poetry, art and action-based games to surround them with the language.

Music & Rhythm: we use "earworms" - catchy songs that embed French structure into their long-term memory while they dance and sing.

Low stress, High-Output: by removing the pressure of "tests" and being traditionally evaluated, we keep their confidence high, which helps remove the fear of speaking. 

As a polyglot and educational expert, I've seen firsthand how this "invisible" approach creates fluent, fearless speakers who grow up seeing French not as a school subject, but as part of who they are.
